DB Schenker is now part of DSV

Danish logistics giant DSV acquired DB Schenker in April 2025 in a deal worth approximately €14.3 billion. The merger created one of the world's largest transport and logistics companies, operating in over 90 countries and employing nearly 160,000 people.

As the integration progresses, the DB Schenker brand will be phased out gradually and all services will move under the DSV name. In Finland, the change takes practical effect from the beginning of May 2026 — including for customers shipping through Shipit.

DSV Pickup Point Parcel & DSV Parcel

DSV's parcel services offer a flexible and reliable way to deliver shipments directly to consumers — either to the nearest pickup point or to the front door. The service covers all of Finland and is particularly well suited for e-commerce deliveries.

Through Shipit, you can use the following DSV parcel services:

DSV Pickup Point Parcel (Noutopistepaketti) – shipment delivered to a selected parcel locker or service point within 1–3 business days
DSV Parcel – shipment delivered to the recipient's home address on a business day, generally between 8am and 4pm

The shipment is delivered to your chosen DSV pickup point within 1–3 business days. DSV uses both parcel lockers and service points as pickup locations.

The recipient receives an arrival notification by text message and email when the shipment is ready for collection. The shipment is released against the pin code stated in the arrival notification. In the email notification, the pin code is also provided in barcode format to speed up the collection process.

Description

With DSV Parcel, shipments are collected from businesses and delivered to the recipient against signature. Parcel services are suitable for shipments weighing up to 99 kg, consisting of individual packages under 30 kg each.

DSV delivers to urban areas by noon the next business day, and to all other areas by 4pm the next business day. Collection and delivery times may vary by location.
