Saturday deliveries for parcels and consumer freight cover over half of Finland's population
Delivery speed is important for many online shoppers. Posti launched the country's most extensive Saturday deliveries for parcels and consumer freight in late October, allowing customers to receive their orders faster, six days a week.
Posti delivers packages on Saturdays to popular Posti outlets and parcel lockers, as well as home delivery to the most used postal code areas. The service covers over half of Finns. You can check the participating pickup locations at posti.fi/kartta.
Small package to door offers more options for e-commerce deliveries
Posti has been delivering Small Packages that fit through mail slots for a while, but now postal carriers can deliver packages up to shoebox size. The renewed Small Package to door service leaves packages with a notification behind the door if they don't fit through the mail slot. You don't need to be home to receive the package.
The new delivery to door offers a convenient option for situations when you can wait a bit longer for the package but want it delivered affordably to your door. In a trial conducted in spring, the delivery method received positive feedback: 86% of customers would choose it again. Similar door deliveries have also become more common in Sweden and Norway.

Network expands and package pickup becomes easier
Posti continuously develops its services to make transactions convenient throughout Finland: approximately 2000 parcel lockers and 1100 personal service points serve customers along everyday routes.
Parcel lockers are the most popular way to pick up Posti packages. Posti is opening about 100 new parcel lockers this year and expanding dozens of existing ones to ensure as many people as possible can get their package at their preferred location. In total, there are already about 150,000 locker compartments.
Picking up packages from Posti has also become easier: With Posti's new pickup code, you can collect packages from the counter without ID. The pickup code is conveniently visible in the arrival notification or OmaPosti app.
Christmas season increases parcel deliveries
Christmas is Posti's busiest time of the year. During last year's peak weeks, Posti delivered nearly 7 million packages and about 12 million Christmas cards. This year too, postal workers will spread Christmas joy across the country.
Year-round network optimization ensures that deliveries run smoothly to recipients even during Christmas. Additionally, Posti prepares for the season in many ways, such as opening temporary pickup points and extending customer service hours.
