UPS World Ease is an international consolidation service designed for businesses that regularly ship large quantities of parcels to the same destination countries outside the EU. The service is not suitable for individual or low-volume shipments.
How does it work?
UPS World Ease groups multiple separate parcels under a single customs clearance to the destination country. The parcels are cleared through customs once as a consolidated shipment, then distributed individually to recipients in the destination country. This significantly reduces the administrative burden and costs associated with international shipping at high volumes.
Getting started with the service requires the following steps:
Contact UPS – UPS World Ease must first be activated by UPS directly on your customer account number. The service cannot be used under Shipit's contracts.
Local importer in the destination country – you must have a local importer in place, for example in the United States or another destination country.
Activation on the Shipit side – contact Shipit customer support, and they will activate the World Ease add-on on your account.
Upload the POE list – simply upload the POE (Port of Entry) list you received from UPS yourself in the Shipit.fi service under Add-ons.
Once the POE list has been uploaded, UPS World Ease activates automatically for the services and countries included on your list. Shipments to other countries continue as normal.
