Creating a return freight document directly from order history
In Shipit, the return freight document is created directly from the order history. The return does not need to be processed as a separate shipment, and address details do not need to be entered again.
How to create a return freight document in Shipit:
Find the order in order history
Search for the order to be returned in Shipit’s order history using either the order number or the customer’s name.
Choose how to create the return
Click the Create return / copy ⌄ button on the right side of the order. The menu offers two options for creating a return freight document:
Create a return freight document
This option takes you directly to the shipping calculator, where the return shipment details are pre-filled as a reverse shipment. The shipment details can be edited if needed before creating the return freight document.
Create a return freight document (instantly)
This option creates the return freight document immediately as a reverse shipment, without the possibility to edit the shipment details.
Sending the return freight document to the customer
Once the return freight document has been created in Shipit, the online store can send it to the customer, for example by email. The customer receives a ready-to-use return freight document for the return shipment, with no need for additional instructions or follow-up communication.
A clear return process makes handling returns easier in the daily operations of an online store.
