Send your Christmas packages on time – check the last shipping dates

Remember the recipient's phone number

Shipping companies contact customers by phone or text message to arrange delivery. Therefore, remember to ask for the recipient's phone number and provide it to the shipping company with the shipment information! If the phone number is missing, it may delay delivery and, in the worst case, postpone Christmas package delivery until after Christmas. Not all delivery methods include contact before delivery.

Last shipping dates by carrier

Carrier services are not always scheduled, and delivery times are often indicative. Through Shipit, you can also order scheduled services, which we describe more on our service descriptionspage.

For Matkahuolto, the last shipping date is December 20th – packages will be delivered to pickup points by Christmas Eve. The exception is express package, which is transported on schedule via the fastest route to the recipient. Express package can arrive in just a few hours depending on the shipping location and destination. Please note that pickup points may be emptied well in advance in certain locations. Send Posti's Postal Packages no later than Wednesday, December 20th so they can reach recipients from parcel lockers and offices by Christmas. Please note that Posti may change the recipient's office if it appears the package would otherwise be late. Read more detailed instructions on Posti's website. Check Posti'sdelivery time calculator.

DB Schenker pickup point packages should be sent by December 15th at the latest, depending on sender and recipient pickup points, noting that only R-Kiosks are available as shipping locations.

International Postal Packages should be sent well in advance and as soon as possible. You can check Posti's recommended last shipping dates on their website. For smaller distant countries, it's good to send packages considerably earlier. Remember to securely attach the address label printed from Shipit to the package so it won't come off during transport. The recipient's mobile phone number is also very important for international deliveries.
