The Rackbeat and Shipit integration enables shipping management directly within your warehouse's order process. Once an order has been picked and packed in Rackbeat, the shipment transfers to Shipit automatically, with no separate data entry and no extra steps. This makes order processing faster and reduces the risk of errors.

Rackbeat is easy to set up, and its open API allows flexible integration with other systems, such as e-commerce platforms and shipping services.

With the Rackbeat and Shipit integration, you can easily:

Use all carriers supported by Shipit
Transfer orders to Shipit without extra manual work
Manage all shipments from a single view
Let the most suitable delivery method be selected automatically

The integration gives you access to all of Shipit's carrier partners, such as Posti, Matkahuolto, PostNord, DSV, UPS, GLS, and FedEx, through a single integration. All shipments arriving from Rackbeat are gathered into one clear view in Shipit, where shipments can be booked and the necessary documents printed effortlessly in just a few clicks.

Setup

Add your Rackbeat API key
Log in to the Shipit customer portal and go to Settings → Integrations. Add your Rackbeat API key – this activates the connection between Rackbeat and Shipit.

Create the necessary delivery terms in Rackbeat
Make sure a delivery term has been created in your Rackbeat account for each carrier service you want to use.
Match delivery methods in Shipit
Go to Settings → Integrations → Rackbeat. Click "Connect new delivery method", select the Rackbeat delivery term, and search for the corresponding Shipit delivery method (e.g. Posti, Matkahuolto, PostNord, DSV, FedEx, or UPS). You can add as many combinations as you need.

Tip: For each combination, you can also select a ready-made shipment template. Once both the delivery method and the shipment template have been set once, the shipment details are filled in automatically, just one click in Shipit is enough to get the shipment ready to go.

Take advantage of shipment templates
In Shipit's Settings → Shipment Templates section, you can create ready-made shipment templates where you can pre-define details such as package dimensions, weight, and other shipment information, including DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms for international shipments. This is especially useful if Rackbeat doesn't pass along all the information needed for a shipment: the shipment template automatically fills in the missing fields based on the default values you've chosen.

Once you select a shipment template for the delivery method match mentioned in step 3, creating the entire shipment going forward takes just a few clicks, regardless of what information comes through from Rackbeat.

Finalize and manage shipments in Shipit
Once an order has been picked and packed in Rackbeat, it appears in Shipit under Order Management → Pending Shipments, where the shipment can be finalized. Once a shipment has been created, it moves to Shipment History, where all orders are displayed clearly in one view. From there, you can track the shipment status, reprint the address label, create a return, or duplicate the shipment, without having to jump between different tabs or integrations.
