The war in Ukraine causes changes in international air traffic and package delivery especially to Asia may be delayed or prevented. For example, Posti is constantly looking for alternative flight routes for cancelled connections to Asia.
Domestic air freight carrier Finnair announces changes to its flight routes
Finnair has cancelled all flights to Japan, Korea and China until March 6, 2022, and all flights to Russia until May 28, 2022. Starting March 9, 2022, Finnair will fly four times a week to Tokyo's Narita airport bypassing Russian airspace. The flight time is approximately 13 hours, and the flights connect smoothly with Finnair's European network. Finnair continues to explore possible alternative routes for flights to Korea and China. Flights continue from Helsinki to Bangkok, Phuket, Singapore and Delhi, as well as from Stockholm Arlanda to Phuket.
International air traffic changes also affect packages arriving in Finland, and orders from abroad may be significantly delayed. For more information, it's recommended to contact the sending country or the online retailer directly.
