Matkahuolto is clarifying its service offering for pick-up deliveries.
From April 1st, 2023, Bus Package will be merged into Nearby Package.
Nearby Package can be sent to all Matkahuolto service points, while Bus Package has only been available for sending to Matkahuolto terminals, stations, and agent points.
Since February 1st, Matkahuolto has automatically converted all bus packages that didn't include Bus Cash on Delivery or Personal Delivery additional services into Nearby Packages.
Matkahuolto recommends switching from Bus Package to Nearby Package as soon as possible.
Remember to change Bus Package to Nearby Package
Please note that if you have Bus Package in your online store delivery options
remove the Bus Package option completely as soon as possible
OR change Bus Package to Matkahuolto's Nearby Package
Pricing will follow the more affordable Nearby Package rates
Matkahuolto Nearby Package
Nearby Package is suitable for all businesses sending packages to consumer customers, especially online stores.
Nearby Package can be dropped off at Matkahuolto or Matkahuolto agent package points, parcel lockers, or using an activation code found on the package, deliveries can also be left at stores and kiosks without an address label if needed. Recipients can collect their packages from the same package points.
The package is delivered to the nearest pickup point to the recipient's address or to a pickup point chosen by the sender within approximately 1-3 business days.
Bus Package will be automatically removed from Shipit's shipping calculator from April 1st.
