UPS has announced a new policy requiring all proforma or commercial invoices to be filled electronically going forward. This change is part of the company's transition towards fully electronic documentation (ETD/Paperless). This change particularly affects customers who haven't been using Shipit's electronic proforma and commercial invoice solutions until now.
Electronic filling ensures faster processing and delivery
Starting April 1st, all proforma or commercial invoices must be filled electronically when placing an order through Shipit's program or integrations. This enables direct information transfer to UPS before package shipment. If documents are provided afterwards via email, UPS will charge an additional fee. The new practice speeds up shipment processing and customs clearance, ensuring faster delivery to the recipient.
