Notice: DB Schenker is now DSV

Danish logistics giant DSV acquired DB Schenker in spring 2025, and the rebrand is now taking effect in practice. Merchants and B2B customers shipping through Shipit will need to update their service names in early May 2026.

What's changing?

DSV acquired DB Schenker from Deutsche Bahn in April 2025 in a deal worth approximately €14.3 billion, creating one of the world's largest transport and logistics companies. As part of the integration, the DB Schenker brand is being phased out, and all services will move under the DSV name. In practice, this means the DB Schenker name and logo will be replaced by DSV across all customer-facing touchpoints.

Service names in the Shipit system will be updated in early May 2026 as follows:

What do you need to do in your online store?

1. Replace DB Schenker with DSV name and logo everywhere

Make sure you are using the DSV name and logo throughout your online store: in delivery terms descriptions, shipment tracking, and checkout delivery options.

Transition tip: To help your online store customers during the changeover, you may temporarily include a note about the name change, for example:

  • Old: DB Schenker pickup point parcel

  • New: DSV pickup point parcel (formerly Schenker)

This transition period ends on 30 September 2026, after which the Schenker name may no longer be referenced.

2. Update service descriptions in your delivery terms

If you have been using DB Schenker's Noutopistepaketti service, DSV recommends updating your delivery terms with the following text:

DSV Pickup Point Parcel

Your shipment will be delivered to your chosen DSV pickup point within 1–3 business days. DSV uses both parcel lockers and service points as pickup locations. You will receive an arrival notification by SMS and email when your shipment is ready for collection. The shipment is released against the PIN code stated in the arrival notification. The arrival notification sent by email also includes the PIN code in barcode format to speed up the pickup process.

Use only DSV's official logos. Leave a clear space around the DSV logo equal to the height of the logo (the so-called protection zone).
