PostNord towards a fossil-free future
PostNord aims for fossil-free services by 2030. The logistics industry is a significant source of emissions, with road transport accounting for 76% of European transport emissions. PostNord's Nima Ghaviha leads the plan to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 40% by 2025 compared to 2020 levels.
The transition to fossil-free operations is based on growing customer demand, cost savings, and moral responsibility. 30% of PostNord's vehicle fleet is electric, 2% runs on biogas, and 30% uses renewable diesel. The company has already reduced emissions by 30% since 2020, and about 40% of light vehicles are electric.
PostNord expands its pickup point network in Finland
PostNord is expanding its pickup point network in Finland, currently having 2,200 pickup points, increasing to 2,500 in November. Additionally, Lähibox parcel lockers, which can be flexibly placed, make life easier for Finns and have received an excellent reception.
PostNord pricing changes from November 1, 2024
PostNord is changing its prices from November 1, 2024, to ensure service quality and respond to rising costs. The price increases are particularly affected by increased personnel, energy, repair, and maintenance costs.
