The role
Your main focus will be backend development, particularly integrations with third-party services from logistics companies such as Posti, Matkahuolto, DSV, PostNord, GLS, FedEx, Omniva, DPD, and UPS.
Your work will span different parts of our platform. You’ll contribute to application architecture, the ongoing development of Shipit’s API, and the continuous improvement of our internal management systems.
Your goal will be to provide a smooth and efficient experience for our customers and internal teams, including customer service and operations.
Experience in similar roles is a significant advantage, particularly if you have helped modernise existing systems. We value clear, concise documentation that supports collaboration between teams and communication with customers.
You should be familiar with established software development patterns and principles, including MVC, separation of responsibilities, and service-oriented application design. We also value an interest in deeper architectural approaches such as Domain-Driven Design.
As we modernise and scale our systems, you should be comfortable writing thorough tests that catch genuine defects and edge cases—not only confirm that the code works under ideal conditions.

Tech stack
Our backend stack includes PHP 8.5, Laravel 13, Go, Rust, MySQL 8.4, PostgreSQL, and Valkey.
On the frontend, we use React, Livewire 4, Tailwind CSS, Alpine.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
We’re open to improving our stack, but we favour reliable, battle-tested solutions over chasing the latest trends. Above all, we value stability, maintainability, and proven efficiency.

Salary
The salary range is €3,800–XXXX per month, depending on your skills, experience, and level of responsibility.
