Shipping Tool Instructions

Welcome to the preliminary user instructions for Shipit's new program! We have designed the instructions so that you will get all the necessary information for implementing and effectively utilizing the program. Our goal is to help you achieve maximum benefit from the comprehensive new features offered by the program.

Shipit's New Shipment Tool

Shipit's intuitive shipment tool lets you easily send parcels, pallets, and documents both domestically and internationally. You can enter recipient details manually or use the address book, where you can conveniently save recipient information — including imports via CSV file.

The platform also saves your frequently used package sizes, or alternatively you can enter package details manually.

You can download the comprehensive PDF guide, which walks you through getting started with the tool and making the most of its versatile features. The guide takes you through all the functions of the shipment tool, enabling smooth and effortless parcel management and shipping.

Pickup Order

In Shipit's new platform, you can easily place pickup orders for UPS, Posti, and PostNord services yourself. You can also add brief pickup instructions for the driver and adjust pickup time windows, for example for UPS.

Order History

The order history section of the new program provides a detailed view of all previous shipments. In this section, you can review and manage past orders, track shipment status, copy orders, create return waybills, and reprint address labels.

Address Book

Shipit's new address book is a convenient tool that allows you to easily save and manage recipient contact information efficiently. The address book makes the shipping process faster and more error-free, as you can select recurring shipment recipients directly from saved contacts without having to re-enter information each time. You can easily import a ready-made address list to the new address book as a CSV file.

Commercial and Proforma Invoice

In Shipit's new program, filling out commercial and proforma invoices has been made very easy. The program offers a user-friendly interface that allows you to quickly enter the necessary information.

Shipit Quick

Shipit Quick is Shipit's newest tool designed to enhance and speed up package shipping for online stores and other businesses. This innovative tool enables starting a shipment with just a few clicks, and it's particularly useful in managing recurring shipments.

Adding Carrier Contract Numbers

If you have your own contracts with carriers, you can add your contract numbers to your Shipit account and send orders using your own contracted rates.

Adding a Contract Number

Log in to your Shipit account and go to Settings → Contracts.

Select the carrier from the dropdown menu, then select the service — you can narrow it down to a specific service or select All.

Enter the contract number in the field exactly as it appears, and leave the Quick ID field empty. Click Save to confirm.

Note: The contract number must be entered precisely — even a single mistake will prevent the contract from being activated.

You can review your added contracts by scrolling down the page. Contracts can be edited or deleted as needed. Repeat the steps if you want to add contracts for additional carriers.

Posti JJFI Tracking Number

When adding a Posti contract, you will also need a sequential JJFI tracking number.

The JJFI number format is: JJFI + customer ID + sequential number + check digit (e.g. JJFI 444001 10200004 597). The sequential number increases by one for each new shipment.

Enter the most recent JJFI number you have used — Shipit will automatically continue the sequence from there.

If you use other services alongside Shipit, make sure each service has its own number range to avoid conflicts.
