Instructions for sending personal shipments such as moving goods as a package delivery

  • Pack shipments carefully so that items cannot move inside the package, newspapers and bubble wrap work well for support.

  • Do not pack liquids, loose batteries, or cells in the shipment as they may be classified as dangerous goods. If you are unsure about the suitability of a product for shipping, verify with Shipit customer service. For example, perfumes and aerosol cans are flammable substances, and battery-operated toys are also prohibited.

  • Seal the package carefully so that the lids cannot open, the bottom should also be taped securely, and it's recommended to tape the sides of the package to ensure it withstands handling.

  • Consider carefully where you want the shipment delivered. Deliveries are always made on weekdays, so someone needs to be present at the home address to receive the package. Remember to provide the exact address and recipient's phone number to ensure delivery success. If your chosen delivery method includes delivery service, you can also direct it to a workplace address for easier reception. We always recommend using the recipient's mobile number as the courier may send text messages about shipment status. NOTE: Carriers rarely call or send messages to foreign numbers, so using a local mobile number is recommended.

  • Attach the waybill carefully to the package so that the barcode is clearly visible. If sending a package outside the EU, include a proforma invoice and send one copy to Shipit customer service. For personal moving goods, you can use the code 9905000000.

  • Track your shipments along the way and if you notice a delivery attempt has been made, contact the chosen courier's customer service to arrange a new delivery. This is easiest to arrange locally. When calling, you need to provide the shipment number so the courier can easily access the shipment information.

Additional Instructions for Sending Personal Items Abroad as Package Shipments

  1. A cost-effective solution is achieved by carefully considering what to send. As a general rule, items that fit in a traditional moving box travel affordably.

  2. Read the careful packing instructions thoroughly, the importance of packing can never be overemphasized, don't skimp on padding or tape. If sending plastic shipping containers, tape the lid very well, plastic clips alone are not sufficient.

  3. Measure and weigh package shipments carefully to get an accurate price from the calculator. Examples of our pricing
