Vietnam does not accept goods shipments as letters, all shipments should be sent to Vietnam as packages.

The recipient needs an import license to receive shipments in Vietnam, except for gifts valued under 20 USD, which should be marked separately on the waybill and proforma invoice: "Gift - Export license not required".

Commercial or Proforma Invoice are therefore mandatory when sending a package to Vietnam, and the import license number should also be added to the invoice.
