Price Definition
You can get the shipping price using Shipit's shipping tool. Additional insurance fee can be selected separately by the customer. Prices include transportation, VAT, possible road tolls, and fuel surcharge.
Please note that the prices given by the shipping calculator are only valid if the shipping information you provided is reported and filled in correctly. Possible additional costs will be invoiced afterwards.
Issues that may cause additional costs:
1. Incorrectly filled weight
2. Incorrectly filled dimensions. All protruding parts of the shipment must be taken into account when measuring
3. Shape of the shipment. Especially with pallet shipments, it must be noted if nothing can be loaded on top of the shipment.
4. Missing or incorrect documents
5. Wrong or incorrect address information, e.g., missing apartment, stairway, or postal code
6. Redirecting the shipment to another address
7. For deliveries and pickups, there must be unobstructed access for the customer, otherwise a failed delivery fee may be charged.
8. If the customer cannot be reached during pickup or delivery. Or if the recipient refuses to accept the package
9. Possible customs fees and taxes
10. If the package is poorly packed and causes damage to other shipments
11. Dangerous goods and prohibited items. These vary by destination country
12. If the address label comes off during transport
13. Storage fee if the recipient does not collect the shipment within a certain time. More information about storage fees for different shipping methods below.
14. Uncollected shipments and customer returns
15. If you want Shipit to create the shipment for you, which can be done directly through our website, we charge 15 € + 25.5% VAT for this manual work addition. For shipments outside the EU, the amount is VAT 0%.
16. Additional services are chargeable, these are shown in Shipit's shipping calculator either based on dimensions and weight or according to the selected additional service. For example, Shipit automatically calculates surcharges for large packages, or remote area surcharges for domestic and international shipments, etc.
NOTE: Service change e.g., through Posti costs 13.8 € + VAT if the shipment is already in transit, make sure that the recipient's information and possible pickup point are selected correctly.
