Transport Orders with Pickup

For all services, Shipit creates the necessary shipping documents and transmits the information to carriers via EDI message.

When choosing your delivery method in the calculator, you'll see an icon under the service name indicating whether pickup is available for that service.

By clicking on your chosen service, you'll see a more detailed description explaining how to order that particular shipment. If you need more information, contact Shipit customer service on weekdays between 9 AM and 4 PM – we're happy to help!

Matkahuolto Pickup Orders

Pickup deliveries must be ordered through Shipit customer service either via website chat, phone at +358 (0)20 752 8488, or email at customer service (at) shipit.fi - customer service is available on weekdays from 9 AM to 4 PM.

Posti Transport Orders

Transport orders for Posti services work as follows:

If you've ordered a Posti service with pickup from our program's Pickup Order section and the order is made before 11:30 AM, the transport order is automatically transmitted to Posti and pickup is typically scheduled for the same day between 12-4 PM. If the pickup order is made after 11:30 AM, the pickup is automatically scheduled for the next business day.

Posti Freight

For Posti freight, pickup is included in the price, and when either sender or recipient is a private individual, Posti will contact the customer before pickup and delivery. When orders are made before 11:45 AM, pickups are generally made the same day, subject to regional exceptions.

Please note that if you're not present or the shipment isn't ready for pickup when the transport order is made, Posti will charge for the wasted trip according to service-specific rates, and the pickup order must be renewed.

UPS services include pickup

Once you've completed your transport order through Shipit, you can schedule a pickup through the program under Pickup Order or through Shipit customer service chat or phone at 020 752 8488. The final booking time for pickup and pickup times vary by region.

FedEx services include pickup

Transport orders are made through Shipit customer service either by phone at 020 752 8488 or through our website chat. Pickup booking times vary by region. You can also order pickup directly from FedEx at 010 800 515 after completing your transport order through Shipit.

PostNord services include pickup

PostNord pickups can be ordered directly through the program under Pickup Order or through Shipit, either via website chat, email at customer service (at) shipit.fi, or phone at 020 752 8488. Pickup is not automatically activated with the order. Note that if you order pickup separately directly from the carrier, the pickup will become chargeable.

GLS services for businesses include pickup

Business customers automatically get pickup included, please notify Shipit customer service if you want to take the shipment to a Posti point yourself. You can also write in additional info/transport instructions -> TAKEN TO POSTI. Pickup cancellations must be made through Shipit customer service.

EuroBusiness package services include two delivery attempts for businesses and one for private customers, after which the package is delivered to the nearest GLS point (GLS ParcelShop) for pickup (if possible in the destination country).

DB SCHENKER pickup and pickup orders

DB SCHENKERparcel and DB SCHENKERSystem delivery methods for businesses and private customers automatically include pickup. Pickup cancellations must be made through Shipit customer service.
