Important for Shopify Basic users
If you are using the Shopify Basic plan, please note that Shopify Basic does not support the CCS (Carrier Calculated Shipping) feature.
For this reason, Shopify Basic merchants must follow the instructions marked “NO CCS.”
By following these NO CCS instructions, Shipit Delivery Checkout will work correctly on the Shopify Basic plan. Many Shipit customers successfully use the app daily on the Basic plan only.
What is CCS (Carrier Calculated Shipping)?
CCS (Carrier Calculated Shipping) is a Shopify feature that allows shipping costs and delivery options to be:
Calculated dynamically at checkout
Displayed to customers based on order weight, dimensions, and delivery address
Used to enable pickup point selection directly at the Shopify checkout
CCS is not a Shipit feature, but a Shopify plan–specific functionality.
How can CCS be enabled in Shopify?
CCS is activated by Shopify.
If CCS is not automatically included in your Shopify subscription, you can request activation from Shopify support.
In practice:
Go to your Shopify admin
Contact Shopify support
Request activation of the Carrier Calculated Shipping (CCS) feature for your store
CCS is available on:
Shopify Grow, if annual billing is used or CCS has been activated separately
Shopify Advanced and Shopify Plus, where CCS is included automatically
CCS is not available on the Shopify Basic plan.
